Actually i make this blog because i am really a big fan of my SGS2
and some peoples (just like me) are really confused while buying something new
Do lot of research on internet before buying it etc etc
so i am here to tell my experience with that phone Actually not a phone its beast
Good features
- 4.3" 16M-color Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen of WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution
Yeah Really Super AMOLED Plus Capacitive touchsreen is a gift from samsung to you because it so real looking screen i ever seen
and 16M Colour its so good looking I start hating with LCD when i use Super Amoled
and resolutions are good because its a phone not a lcd that you need 1280x720 pixels etc
So why you need more pixels? This mobile can play 1920x1080 movie smoothly without any problem or lagging
- Android OS v2.3.3 with TouchWiz 4 launcher
Android is very best and good OS,and Day By Day is going to be good and fast
The best thing i like in android is its market where everything every software for everything is easily available
Touchwiz 4 is very Good thing in my expereince because its make many thing easy like you can on/off wifi,bluetooth sound etc from your home screen no need to go in setting BLAH BLAH BLAH
- 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, Mali-400MP GPU, Exynos chipset, 1GB of RAM
OH YEAH! That beast 1.2 Ghz Dual-Core is the main point in that mobile
its make mobile faster than other phone Really Good thing in SGS2
i can play every android game in SGS2 without any lag or problem
And Gpu is also so Good actually its so much better than iphone 4
1GB RAM,i am using my phone i think 2 months ago or something and till now my mobile didnt even hang or lag for just one sec Really 1GB ram is So So So So Good
- 8 MP wide-angle lens autofocus camera with LED flash, face, smile and blink detection
In Past We enjoyed many android phones,But we didnt enjoy Good Camera and Android Combination together in any phone
But Beleive me SGS2 is very good according to camera
in SGS1 camera was not good not even flash on it
But after complaining of so much costumers Samsung hear them and Add a Very good camera in SGS2
- 1080p HD video recording at 30fps
I already explain about camera that is so good and Yeah it can record 1080p Full hd video
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g and n support
That thing is so good for me i think
Because Yeah the SGS2 supports 2.4 Ghz wifi which is usually peoples use
But its also supports 5 Ghz wifi which is usually use in huge networking or corporative companies
- 16/32GB internal storage, microSD slot
That is Good thing of Samsung as compare to htc they are making mobile supported 3d like htc evo 3d etc but they are not even adding builtin memory (WTF)
But samsung is giving us flash memory in galaxy
and also option of micro sd card in oficially website they are telling it supports upto 32gb but some peoples also using 64gb card without any problem
- Accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensor
These sensor are very good and really enjoyable in playing games
- Standard 3.5 mm audio jack
Thank God this feature is available in that phone becuase it is so important for first of all because many peoples have their music earbuds which are in 3.5mm
- Charging MHL microUSB port with USB host and TV-out (1080p) support
For those who dont know what this thing is i tell you
First of all that microUSB for from where you connect mobile to pc and charging that port is called MicroUSB
Samsung Add very good feature in that port it can TV-Out and also you can connect your flash drive or usb Hard drive with that Beast!
We have Seen that in past Companies are using 3.5mm jack for tv out but now that time gone because we need to out 1080p now and 3.5mm jack is like VCD player of past that only out in simple audio video cable
but MHL Usb have good data transfer rate so it can transfer 1080p
And i forget to mention how its out 1080p
it out 1080p thorugh HDMI(Search Google if you dont know what that is)
Because HDMI can transfer Good Data rate
- Stereo Bluetooth v3.0
Very Good Speed when you transfer files from BT 3.0 to BT 3.0
- FM radio
Its not a big feature but you know if we are getting something free in something why we miss that
But its a rare function in android mobile phone
- Great audio quality
Android phones are also not best for music and audio
But Samsung nearly solve that problem for their costumers
SGS and SGS2 both have very good Music in Simple and also in EarBud
- Extremely slim waistline at only 8.5mm and low weight (116g)
If you compare its perfomance and its weight
Its like a 100 cc bike pushing a 10000 kg Van or something
So much low weight and slim phone really i am very very impress for that feature
- 2MP secondary video-call camera
I remember that time when peoples having 2MP Main camera and they are very happy for that and taking pics BLAH BLAH BLAH
trust me that 2MP camera is really enough and good for you to taking picture
Result and image quality is So Good like main camera just MP are low but that not a big problem because of its purpose
- Full Flash support and GPU-acceleration for the web browser permit 1080p flash video playback
Yes you can play 1080p Flash video in Browser or in software easily
- The richest video format support we have seen
Its support all format i think so because i play mkv (720,1080) avi and many more format i didnt receive any can support error yet and that so Good
Main disadvantages
- All-plastic body
I remember my one friend but that phone and sell it in 2 days just because he is saying that its cost 600 USD and its looking like cheap 200 Dollars phone
My Thought About that: i think you can only worry about beauty in women because electronics are good if they give good performance not for their look or beauty
- No dedicated camera key
I hate Samsung for that thing,So much good camera,Flash etc But no dedicated camera button its so much dificult to take picture without it
- Super slim body has poor grip when taking pictures
Yes it is,I expereince that these problem can be solved if they add dedicated camera key
- Non-hot-swappable microSD card
Its not a big problem because the card slot is near battery so you need to remove battery first to change it so why need hot swappable
What NON-Hotswappable means?
its means that in that phone you cant change you memory card without turning it off,But i suggest you to not change memory card again and again i see many SGS2 in repairing shops due to that problem
